Christmas time is crazy for choristers. But, I do love it. :) Tomorrow's concert is going to be on TV. I guess I should wear some makeup or something... I still don't even know what we're singing. He basically said "Bring it all, I'll tell you when we get there." I love that, it's so free, except that this way I have to practice everything.

I woke up today and was not happy.
I had to go to the dentist.
I HATE the dentist.
...Does anyone like it, really?

They needled my gums 8 times. I had 3 cavities to get fixed up and 3 teeth to get pulled out. When the lady pulled my second tooth, I "UUGGHH"ed in pain so she said "Oh, more needle, then." Damn youuu! Damn the needle!!! I wish I had brought my diskman. I hadn't thought to bring it. All that "nyeeeeee-eee-eeeeeerrrrr-eeeee!!!" And! the burning smell of...my teeth...! The assistant wasn't on top of things either. The dentist was needling me, saying "Suction...Suction!" and the damned assistant didn't suction right away so I got a mouthful of liquid numb-er. Okay not a mouthful, but a taste. And what a taste. Blech! I went "eehhhcchh..." and the denstist said "Yeah, when that gets down your throat, look out!" Oh, hardy har. Eventually she just pulled 2 of the 3 teeth out without caring if it hurt me. Youch! I could hear it c-c-cracking out of my gums. Eww and at the end I looked at that little bib they give you, it was full of blood. I wiped my mouth and it was all bloody, too.

So anyway, now that I'm HOME from the dentist, I'm quite happy indeed. Ahhh, yes, nothing feels quite as good as coming HOME from the dentist. How satisfying.

I've decided to take some time off school.
Well, I wanted to take next semester off, but my mother was very upset. "You'll never go back! You're throwing your life away!" I got some advice from the people I love, telling me to go part time instead. What a good idea! This way, I'l still be going to school, but not so much. I was worried that if I just keep on going now, I'll eventually hate it so much that I'll drop out entirely further down the line. We can't have that! So, I'm going to take 3 courses next semester. Ah, relief. Why do I hate school so much, anyway?

I just read some e-mails that talked about rehearsals on Saturday. That means I missed some rehearsing...whoops. I hope I don't get fired.

On a lighter note, Alexei brought me flowers today. What a darling!

I realized why I got sick in the first place.
David and I got high with Brittany a while back, and all we did was walk round and round his Avalon lake for hours, chain smoking, in the rain. I wasn't even wearing anything on my head because the rain was "refreshing." No wonder I got pneumonia! We walked for hours...round and round... When we finally came home, we sat on the step and chain smoked some more. We were going to go inside, but we just continued to smoke. We couldn't stop, but I was all smoked out by the end...for a while. Anyway, when we finally went to sleep my clothes and hair were plain wet. My clothes were still damp in the morning. Then I had a cold. I was all "Oh dear, why ever would I be sick? What a mystery!" until yesterday when it came up at David's. He said "Well, duh, we walked for hours in the rain. Didn't you make the connection?" Uh...well, now I do. Go Dannikie. The rain walking night of chain smoking is still affecting my health now. The moral of this story is don't walk around a lake for hours chain smoking in the rain. Bust my buttons, stay sheltered! By the way, the Wizard of Oz is excellent.

After battling pneumonia, I was finally well enough to sing in Hunstville.
Thank God! Was it ever awesome. After a troubling sound check, we thought we’d have a bad performance. The sound just wasn’t there. They told us “Well, we were expecting about 200 people, but the number is somewhere between 700 and 1000...Good luck!” Oh, darn. That’s a little nerve racking when the sound isn’t perfect. Oh it was the Ontario Music Educator’s Conference too. That means those 700 people are all music teachers. Oo, the harshest critics. They know their shit. Anyway we got on stage and there was one of those big screens behind us so the people at the back of the hall could see too. It would pan close ups of us... Right so it was so silent and we started so sing but it sounded great! The diction was primo! The thing about sounding great in performance is that it makes you sound better. You say “Wow, that sounds awesome!” ergo you get in to it, and the energy is there. It was there! We could see it in Barbara Clark. Ahhh thinking back to it gives me a rush.

Rush, rush...we came back from Huntsville at 4:30 on Saturday. I had no time to waste to get ready for Montreal. Montreal, Montreal, where had you been all my life? Actually we only left at around 8. We didn’t even get lost, but we stoped a bunch on the way. We bought cheap cheap yet delicious booze for $3 a bottle. Jesus, we bought like 10 bottles. They were rather small. Right, we got there (late) and Ewan’s appartment was awesome! The living room was light green with a pinkishly red futon. The kitchen was white except for one big wall painted red. The moulding was dark wood in the whole place. It looked great! I was so impressed! Eee! That’s right. Oh, the drugs. I was kindof surprised... I tried to rail ritalin but was too scared. I said “Okay, I’ll do it...here I go...I...uh...NOOOOO!!!!” Haha. There was Salvia too. It looked like it was sooo fun but I was too scared. Strange, huh? Not scared of the effects, but like...scared of downward spiral. Freak-aaaayyye!!! Darn, though. It looked so fun and robot-like! *sigh* Back to the night. It was excellent! We walked all over and it was a little cold but we barely noticed. The surroundings were so nice, but the discussions made the night gold. I’d never really been in a bar before, belive it or not. It was so fuuuuunnnn! Of course. Always is! Oh my gosh we chain smoked like crazy. We smoked in restaurants too. I walked in and saw Ewan smoking and was like “OH YEAH! WOW! ...Fucking Ottawa.” We went to sleep at 7am. On Sunday evening we ate rabbit stew. It was delicious and kinda like turkey. Let me tell you who was there...Adam drove. David’s old best friend Steve was there. Hehe, I kept talking to him about that. “I saw a picture of you and David drinking from bottles together when you were babies!...” Right so Alexei’s Dana was there and so was he, and I. Jesse lives with Ewan and Kassem visited here and there. What a great group. Hillarious! They kept saying “Come back anytime, anytime! We love your company!” I can’t wait to go back. OH EM GEE!

David and I are going to the Dominican for reading week. We were going to go with Steve and Brittany, but that fell through. Now we’re going with my mom and sister. We’ll party in a french french way! Oui, oui!

So, Dannik never updates but I have nothing to do so today's you're lucky day! And might I say, man that's lucky! Obviously.

So anyhoo, today I should be meeting Cayle but he's not up yet. We had planned to go skating with his little brother, because we all have a PD day. When the night comes, I'm going to David's. Sweet!

This week was a little crazy, my parents have officially split up as of Tuesday evening. My father is living with his girlfriend named Wendy Pullan. I'm sure they have hightened intellectual conversation, being doctors. "Have you heard of the side effects of Pfizer's new Nexium complex T-7?" - "Why yes, almost identical to those of Glatamine and Dexiparum 8!" - "Quite quite." - "Cherio."

Tomorrow there's a jam session in the evening. Too bad I don't know the lyrics to the songs they want me to sing, they should give me a list and I'd promptly learn them all. I'm usually quick to learn songs. I hope they let me drum a little, I love to drum :)

Sunday I'm going to church with my mother, because she really wants me to. We're joining the choir together---okay, so that's the real reason I'm going. Choir is the best bribe of all.

Today I saw White Noise. Kindof a crappy Canadian movie, but it was ok. I do so love ESP!

Tomorrow I have a Literature exam, where I'll have to write an essay about The Crucible by Arthur Miller. We'll see how that goes seeing as I didn't study and just hung out all day instead. But I don't care, it was worth it...always is.

Cayle and I ate at Nickel's. I was going to order the Gateau Celine but the waitress took too long to come and serve us and we were going to be late for the movie. I was DEVASTATED! Well, not really. But I would have loved to eat the cake. What's with that place and Celine Dion, anyway?

Friday some music kids are going to Cayle's house! Yes, that's right, GHS music and Cayle all wrapped up in one evening. Actually not so much evening but more like day? I don't know.

Friday I did drugs with David. Lots of swirling my-clothes-are-melting-off fun. :) I was often confused, and sometimes scared, but it was fun on the whole. We were downtown walking around, but it was really damn cold and it was bad for us to be outside for too long, so we decided to journey back to David's to smoke. We stayed there sitting on his bathroom floor, laughing about Lamp Chops. We also watched "Darkness Falls" about the EVIL toothfairy.
Today I went home and then went to Cayle's. I was so happeeeee because we didn't hang out all week! We ate delicious pizza and it was uberfun (ba doom tsh!). He had to work at 6.
Tonight I was supposed to see David and I called a couple of times, but I'm so tired anyway. I fell asleep in the car coming home from Cayle's. I was waiting for dinner and I fell asleep. Then I fell asleep when I was taking a "break" before cleaning up after dinner. So I think I'll call again, and if I can't find him I'm going to take a bath and go to sleep. I have to rehearse tomorrow.

I kindof had a bad day at school today. Well, I often say that, and looking back there is usually only like one thing that went wrong out of a bunch of good things. I guess I'm a pessimist.

So here's the one bad thing. There is this girl I don't like in choir named Jen and she's never there, but she was there today. We have a concert on Wed and of course she doesn't know any of it, so we had to go over it a bunch of times with her and she doesn't even look at the music at the same time, she just tries to memorize the tune. I hate that. Look at the damn music or you'll NEVER get it in time. So anyway I was mean to her...repeatedly. lol yeah but see, it ruined my mood. So that's why my day was "bad."
Oh yeah, that and I scratched my face. I am not ashamed!

Hey, I also almost fell down the stairs when I was talking to Brett...Darn clumsy day.

My day was good because I went out to breakfast with David :), did well on a Philosphy test (I think), and saw my cute boyfriend.

So I stayed at Cayle's on Friday, and there's something about his water. It smells and tastes kindof...sweet, and made my hair and skin so soft. It was magical mystery water. He said it's because it comes from a well. Ooo, spooky.

On Saturday we went to the mall because we're cool. Cayle just happened to have special brownies, and I was quite surprised/excited. I hadn't been on drugs in a while, you know. So I was pretty effed, and I bought a pocket sign language book. IT'S SO COOL. There are 45 expressions/words or whatever, and I learned them all. In learning them, I taught them to Cayle (well, most of them). Man I loved that book, I found it overly fun! If only I knew a deaf person.
Also on Saturday, Cayle wore some shirt he hadn't worn in over a year and Tam really liked it because it was "Zero" which is apparently a skateboard company. I wouldn't know. He was asking to have it or borrow it sometime, trying to trade shirts, etc. Then when Cayle and I were shitfaced at the mall we saw this shirt that was Zero in black with skulls, and I was like "Tam would sure like that shirt." Cayle checked it and it was $7, a youth large. It was so perfect! So I bought it. At the cash the guy was like "WOW this is the cheapest shirt in the store! Hey *coworker* come here! Look at the price of this shirt! Wow, what a find! I can't believe how cheap it is!" It was cool. We wrote a note that said "Surprise, Tam!" and hid it in his room. Supposedly he freaked out. :)

Today I had choir, and now I have to do my Litterature ISU. I'd rather get nailed to the floor. But if I nailed myself to the floor, I'd still have to hand in my essay. There's no hope for me.

Next weekend I'm going to make a package to send to Japan! (preferably with David?) I recieved one yesterday, and it was one of those shirts with a picture of a punk baby on it, with real piercings that stick off the shirt! David got one too! AHHHHH! I also got 3 (3!!!) Shaka Labbits CDs and some super cute notes (aw) as well as some tiny Sailor Moon charms.

In conclusion, I hate Litterature.

Cayle came over for the first time today.
I was really nervous, his house is really nice. I was worried I'd not be "good enough" or whatever, considering my house is all messy and filled with tufts of cat hair. It turned out fine though...come on, did I think he'd say "Man, this place sucks. What a dump." lol, no way. I was also nervous for him to eat here. His food is always really good and all home made, and mine always comes from a box. But, lucky for me it was meat and he never eats meat because his mother loves health, so he liked it. He said he liked it here, and he seemed to. Yeah, it was alright. Maybe he'll come over more often.
And lucky for me my parents like him. He played the guitar and helped my father put up some mantle thingie. My mother always talks about how cute he is.

Happy New Year!

Okay so I went to Cayle's yesterday for a so-called party. But Norman, his mean step brother, had his friends over so we had nowhere to be. He had previously said that he and his friends were going elsewhere to party, and that Cayle could have his friends over. But then, on this particular day, he decided to change his mind. And as I already mentioned, Norman is supa-mean. So, there was no way. He was drunk when people showed up, so he let us in the garage for a few minutes, but everyone hated it because it had a bad vibe...you know, Norman being there and all. So eventually, we went into the house.

SWEET it was about time! I love that house. We hung out in the living room (eating and drinking punch) for a bit but nobody was drunk yet so everyone was unhappy. (except me...I was having a ball! Becky was there for a bit and she was hillarious. We made fun of Norman. She spiked my punch WOO!) Okay, so eventually Joey Kathleen and Robbie left and things got a shitload better! Oh let me tell you who was all there: Cayle and I, Tyler, Phil Harold, Jen, Becky, Steph Gates, Jori, Fix-It Paul (ew), Joey and Kathleen, Robbie, some guy named Derek who was there with his parents, and um I think that's all. We hung out in Cayle's room and got smashed and listened to music and it was great! So in a nutshell: at first everyone was unhappy, but then things got way better and it kicked ass. We ate food and listened to *the Beatles* and smoked joints and drank. Awesome.

A lot of stuff went wrong though, lol. Jen tried to steal wine and got caught, so she stole Cayle's Jack Daniels because she hates him and always steals from him. Phil called her and was so mad, but what could we do? Also we had a huge cannon joint that Jori had in his coat but it got lost...lol how could we have lost it?! Phil was calling it "JJ Johnson" and saying "I'm going to look for my friend JJ" ...alright I guess it sounded funnier when I was off my rocker. Another problem was, of course, we had nowhere to be at first. People were like "Are we just staying outside or what?" They were having nervous breakdowns. Um also Cayle got CRAZY wasted and was a big idiot, you know. He was YELLING all the time. But he was so cute with his family, he'd hug them and say "I love you, you're the best" like to his mother and Tam ("This is my little brother! I love him!" lol) At night he kept hitting me in his sleep and taking my blankets and pushing me off the bed...hehe what a terrible sleep. It was bad, but I'm happy about it for some reason. Strange Dannikie.

We're going on a date tonight. Free movie!

On a lighter note, I got to hang out with Cayle today. There was supposed to be a jam session (?) but nobody showed up...Hey, that's fine by me. It was Maurice's birthday, and we had home made Vietnamese food, including fortune cookies. I had, what...6? 7? I only kept one fortune: "The world is always ready to recieve talent with open arms." Aw, cute. Maurice's first one said "You will find happiness with old age" or something. lol! We hung out with Tam for a bit, and he kept asking me to sleep over and to play Risk. Aw, I like him a lot. Almost as much as I like his brother...

Tomorrow I'm going to do SCHOOLWORK (death death death) and apply to University. And sleep in.

Today I had nothing to do, so I decided to take a nap at 2. I woke up at 5:30, which I considered late. I was like "woah, dude. woah." Anyway then I went to Joey's at around 7 or 7:30, and left with Robbie at like 8:15 to eat at the Gloucester Centre. I was absolutely famished, so I was quite happy to eeeeeeat. Then we met *Cayle* and I was like "eee" so then Robbie went home and I went to Cayle's place until 10:30. And now, I'm home. La Fin.

Tomorrow I'm going to Cayle's "early" as he put it, which means after 10 but before 12. We're having a jam session! Sweet. The useless vocalist shines.

Today I had Christmas with my * friends! * (except David) ...And it was so fun! Cayle got a huge THC cookie, equivalent to 8 cookies (!!!) and ate a lot of it was a supa-high. lol He was so happy and was being so loud. I loved to give my gifts, but mostly I loved hanging out at Joey's. It was memories. It was like "I remember why I like it here!" ...Except Smash Bros. Oh, Smash Brothers.

Tomorrow I'm going to hang out with Cayle's family at some party. Hopefully I'll mostly stay with Cayle and Tam...and eat all the spicy spicy food! But I think I have to dress up...
